    David Carr writes a column for the Monday Business section of the New York Times that focuses on media issues including print, digital, film, radio and television as well as contributing to the Culture section of The New York Times. He is the author of a memoir, The Night of the Gun, in which he detailed his past experiences with cocaine and alcohol addiction and includes interviews with people from his past, tackling his memoir as if he were reporting on himself.

    Andre Fenton is Professor of Neural Science at the Center for Neural Science at New York University. He is also a part-time Associate Professor of Physiology and Pharmacology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He is especially interested in understanding how memory does and doesn't work and has undertaken some key research on memory erasure. This is his third appearance in Brainwave at the Rubin.
