Meets on the first Friday of the month
On Friday June 6, we are happy to announce that, in addition to Dr. Dawa Ridar, we will be joined by Dr. Guna Natha who is another practitioner of Tibetan Medicine. Dr. Natha will be giving a brief talk on Urgyen Menlha, Guru Rinpocheas Medicine Buddha.
Dr. Guna Natha has been actively involved with the public programs here at the Rubin Museum and runs an active practice out of Queens. After the talk, the doctors will be available for pulse reading in the Education Center during our reception. We hope to see you this Friday!
Intrigued by the culture, arts, history, and sacred traditions of Himalayan Asia? Join the Rubin Museum’s Himalayan Heritage Meet Up, an informal group that meets the first Friday of the month from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Attendees explore topics of interest through discussions, gallery tours, films, food, and meetings with guest speakers. The group is open and welcome to all.
Tashi Chodron, Coordinator of Adult and Academic Outreach Programs, Rubin Museum Guide, and Voices of Tibet Founder, will serve as the host of the event.
