The Rubin Creative Felting

In this course participants will learn the Himalayan craft of felt making. Each class session includes a short tour in the galleries and a felting lesson in the studio with time to create your own work. The class will cover wet felting and needle felting techniques. Projects include making beautiful felt accessories, such as pins and belts, as well as felt balls, bowls, and sculpture.
No experience necessary. All materials included. Registration is required, as space is limited.
Course Fee: $200; 10% off for members
Cancellation Policy: Requests for cancellation made at least one week prior to the first class will be refunded for the full amount. Requests made within one week and prior to 48 hours before the first class will be refunded for ½ of the total amount paid. Requests made within 48 hours of the first class will not be refunded.
Aoife Pacheco grew up in Brooklyn in a house full of crafting supplies. She studied sculpture and American history at Oberlin College and received a Masters in Elementary Education from Brooklyn College. She has worked extensively with people aged nine months to ninety years. She runs Park Slope Pottery studio and loves to teach people how to make useful things. Aoife still lives in Brooklyn with her best friend and her baby and near all her favorite people.
