In traditional Tibetan medicine, pulse reading is a complex form of diagnosis which requires physicians to listen deeply to the sound waves and vibrations of one’s heartbeat. In collaboration with Warper Party, The Rubin Museum presents a museum-wide multi-media event – PULSE – which invites electronic musicians and video artists to listen deeply and explore their own beats through inspiration from the new exhibition, Bodies in Balance: The Art of Tibetan Medicine.

Free museum admission and live electronic music performances throughout the evening from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. in K2 Lounge and the Spiral Lobby with Friendly Knowledge, Atom and Honeychild Coleman with video art by Sofy Yuditskaya.

Ticketed multi-media concerts in the theater ($15 for one concert / $25 for both concerts) with musical performances by Comandante Zero, Charcole Federation, The Mast, and DJ Shakey and video art by 0h10m1ke, Permian Strata and The Sperm Whale.

Happy Hour runs from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. with a 2-for-1 special on all beer, wine and well drinks at K2 Lounge.
