Sundays are for families! Bring your family to the Museum for a Sunday afternoon full of family-friendly activities. Drop into the Education Center for some art-making, enjoy our 2 p.m. family exhibition tour, or go on your own thematic gallery search.

May Sundays: Mala-Making
Materials for the Arts joins the Rubin Museum for Family Sunday! Prayer beads (mala) are made in various sizes, materials, and forms. Explore the prayer beads in the exhibition Count Your Blessings and drop by the art studio to craft your own beads!
June Sundays: Super Sculpting
The sculptures in the exhibition From India East are made from a variety of materials like, stone, wood, metal, and clay. Explore the exhibition and drop by the art studio to make your own sculpture!
July Sundays: Printmaking
*There will be no program on Sunday July, 6th due to the holiday weekend*
Woodblock printing has a long and rich history in the Himalayan region. Explore printed artworks and common design motifs in the collection and drop by the art studio to create your own woodblock printed magnet!
August Sundays: Animal Masks
Real and imagined animals are everywhere in Himalayan art. Explore the animal artworks in the Masterworks exhibition and drop by the art studio to make your own animal mask inspired by Himalayan animal tales!
$5 per child; Adults pay regular admission; Free to children under 1 year and Free for Cool Culture.
Tickets may be purchased day of at the Museum admissions desk and starting at 1pm at the Education Center.
