Volunteer Docent Program
The Volunteer Docent Program facilitates a connection between museum visitors and Himalayan art. By providing people with an engaging, informative experience in the galleries, the Volunteer Docent Program encourages visitors to look and think deeply while exploring the arts, culture, religion, and iconography of the Himalayan region. Through research and intensive training, Volunteer Docents organize and present thematic gallery tours, gallery talks and other educational initiatives, and roam the gallery floors for informal conversations with visitors. With this unique approach in mind, it is the mission of the museum to see that every visitor gain some insight and understanding of the exhibitions through the informed presence of Volunteer Docents.
The Volunteer Docent Program is currently at capacity. If you are interested in being added to the waitlist for our next orientation training series, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
